Marcelo Ferrando
PhD candidate and Bachelor in Business Administration. Certified Public Accountant from the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina (UCA). He has carried out his professional work in Argentine industrial companies for more than 30 years. For 16 years, he worked at the TECHINT GROUP, where he served as Administration and Finance Manager of LOSA S.A. From 2001 to 2016, he was General Manager of TUBOS ARGENTINOS S.A., a company belonging to the Chilean group CAP, and General Director of the subsidiary STEEL HOUSE DO BRASIL COMERCIO LIMITADA. In both business groups, he actively participated in the formulation of new businesses, including partnerships with foreign companies, conducting due diligence, and the creation of new companies. In the field of capital goods, he played an active role in the purchase, installation, and start-up of various production lines in the ceramic and metallurgical industries, negotiating equipment supply in Germany, Italy, the United States, Canada, and Korea. In addition, he was involved in legal and financial matters, securing bank loans at promotional rates for the execution of such investments.
For more than 20 years, he held positions on the Board of Directors of Business Chambers, both in the industrial sector and in binational chambers, actively participating in discussions on industrial policies and interacting with various government authorities.
Currently, he works as a consultant in strategy, management, and new business development. At the same time, since 1985 he has been teaching as a University Professor in the Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, the MBA, the Master’s in Economic Business Law, and at the UCA Business School, where he also leads two seminars on Dry Construction and Steel Framing. He is also Director of the Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration at ESEADE University.
